ABOUT BOYS DIVISION II

Boys Division II is a instructional division emphasizing good sportsmanship, the development of individual skills and the importance of teamwork. The primary goal in this division is fundementals(dribbling, passing etc) and Team Fundementals(offensive & defensive technic).

Age requirements for Boys Division II are nine to ten.

Boys division II season consists of about eight games no playoffs, usually beginning on the first weekend in January and ending in late February. Games are played on Saturdays between 8 AM and 5 PM. Usually a team plays only one game a weekend. However, on occasion, game scheduling may require a team to play an additional game on a weekday due the inclement weather. All games for this division will be played on 65 feet or less court with a goal height of nine and half feet.

Teams may begin their practices after December 1st The times, frequency and locations of the practices are determined by CAA committee and/or a team's coach.

Boys Division II will be limited to man to man defense the first half and one zone defense the second half. No double teams are allowed. No break away baskets are allowed(clear path to the goal). No block shoots.
